Hummus is a Levantine dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. Hummus dip is most commonly eaten with Pita bread but could also be eaten with Naan or Sandwiches/Burgers. Its easy to prepare it and there are many different ways in which you can eat it.

2 cups chickpeas(kabuli chana)
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
3-4 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp tahini (sesame seeds)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cumin powder (jeera)
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Fresh parsley and coriander leaves
Olives
For Pita bread
1 cup refined flour (maida)
3 tablespoon yogurt (curd)
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1/8th teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon olive oil
